    It is one thing to rest.

     Paradoxically most who come to Zenergie come to rest.

    They come to seek momentary respite from the hectic lifestyles that dominate their daily existence.

    I say 'paradoxically' because while most may slow down, sleep, reconnect with their partners, and do little, the 'rest' they choose is at best neutral, and more probably, negative.

    It is negative because it fails to alter the fundamental problems that made the 'rest' necessary.

    For 'rest' to be positive it should address the underlying problem and that is the lifestyle that created the problem.

    Breath defines the start and completion of our life cycle.
                    But few use this precious period to learn to breathe.    Hess

 
 


    Half an hour of Yoga or Pilates has the capacity to both rest and rejuvenate.

    Likewise a massage is an accelerated form of rest while meditation is like having rest on turbo-charge.

    Rest in front of the TV is an easy option but is not effective in preparing you for the ordeal that inevitably awaits you once you arrive back home.

    Exercise, whether it be physical as in Yoga, or mental as in meditation, is a positive activity toward creating the means to cope with today's hectic pace of life.

    Zenergie offers boutique ancillary services to bring you 'rest'. They are boutique because:
        ● You decide if they interest you.
        ● You decide when you want to do them.
        ● They involve only you (and your partner if they wish), not a whole group.
        ● They are aimed at your level of involvement.
        ● You do not need to worry about interacting with others or being self-conscious of yourself.

    Zenergie offers a range of ancillary activities at two distinct levels:
        1. LEVEL 1 - Uses the in house services of one of your hosts, Hess, who will run a session to suit your level of knowledge and ability. A capable teacher, he will introduce you to the activity and make the session comfortable and interesting.
        2. LEVEL 2 - Involves contacting one of the outside authorities. They will bring a far greater level of expertise and knowledge. Useful for advanced devotees or for those who feel the need for this or for those who feel the need for a more professional structure. Bookings will need to be made in a more formal manner and be planned.

    ZENERGIE OFFERS:
        YOGA - An Indian discipline that combines breath work with a wide variety of postures or movements. Can be done at a very elementary level within the grasp of all. Ends with a short meditation.
        PILATES - More physical than Yoga in that it moves faster though they overlap with some movements. Again it can be run at a very basic standard accessible to all. More likely to raise a sweat.
        MEDITATION - The process of trying to slow down the mental activity inside your head. Can be structured with someone talking you through every minute or totally unstructured where you do all yourself. May utilise music, singing bowls or gongs to help 'distract' the mind. May be done lying down or sitting. Achieveable by anyone. Time frame will depend on level of proficiency.
        MASSAGE - Is divided into remedial and relaxation massage. One seeks to adjust your muscles (and may involved some pain) the other to relax both body and mind. Zenergie also offers RAINDROP massage which uses therapeutic grade essential oils and is a form of healing massage.
        DRUMMING - Offered only by Hess and involves a session of all things rhythmic. You will use your feet, hands, voice, drums and other rhythm instruments to create a challenging percussion workout. The emphasis is on fun and working within the capacity of the participants. Anyone can do it.
